The blast happened at BAE Systems Glascoed in Monmouthshire just before 11am this morning, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said
There has been an explosion at the BAE Systems site in Glascoed, Monmouthshire There has been an explosion at a site in Wales belonging to Britain’s biggest defence firm.
BAE Systems said safety protocols were “immediately enacted” and that it had launched a full investigation. A BAE Systems’ spokesperson said: “We can confirm that there was an incident at our Glascoed facility in Wales this morning. “All personnel are accounted for and there were no injuries. Our emergency response team continue to monitor the facility and a full investigation has been launched.”
