For some, hay fever symptoms can be stronger
Hay fever is usually at its worst between March and September when the pollen count is at its highest and the weather can be warm, windy and humid. With hay fever season about to start, many are seeking long-term solutions instead of relying on sprays and tablets.
Johanna Constantinou, trends expert at Tapi said: "Having an allergy-free home contributes to better health, improved wellbeing and a more enjoyable living environment for everyone – especially when the seasons change. By creating a welcoming environment free of common allergens, you can ensure the comfort and wellbeing of you and your household."Regular vacuuming is a great way to reduce the likes of dust and pollen in your home which can trigger allergies.
Wool is also excellent at keeping dust and allergies under control due to the hypoallergenic qualities. Similarly, Sisal carpets have natural fibres, made from agave and are great for people who suffer with allergies and asthma.Consider using doormats made with microfibre or those specifically designed to capture dirt effectively. Sweep walkways, patios and decks regularly to minimise the amount of debris that can be traced indoors.
