Barry Ferguson believes the appointment of referee John Beaton won't mean anything to Celtic and Rangers players come Sunday afternoon.
Barry Ferguson"isn't bothered" by the fact under-fire referee John Beaton will take charge of this weekend's huge Old Firm clash.go head-to-head at Ibrox on Sunday in a derby encounter that could have a huge bearing on the Scottish Premiership title race. Celtic currently hold a one point advantage, but have played a game more than their fierce Glasgow rivals.
However, Ferguson reckons the standard of officiating in general has been poor and believes any referee could be prone to a game changing error given what he's witnessed across the league this season."If I'm being honest, whether it's what happened a few weeks back at Tynecastle, or five years ago, or ten year ago, whatever referee it is I'm always nervous about decisions, certainly with VAR now.
