Peter Moore has shared his thoughts on City's 115 charges over alleged breaches of Premier League spending rules
Former Liverpool CEO Peter Moore has admitted that he is not surprised that Man City are facing 115 charges for alleged breaches of the Premier League’s financial rules.
They have always denied any wrongdoing, as the rest of English football watches on to see if they will be found guilty and, if so, which punishment they could face.READ MORE: Premier League release statement after tragedy chanting during Liverpool and Man United clash "Man City is a magnificent football club... I've always respected Man City and always enjoyed going to the Etihad, we were always made very welcome,” he said on TalkSPORT. “I respect what they have been able to build and have led the way with multi-club ownership. But it's just different.
"The Premier League has to do what the Premier League has to do. I can't speak for other clubs… I certainly think football fans want to see fair play on the pitch and off the pitch. He continued: “I'm proud of what we achieved running our club in a safe self-sustainable manner. Trent talked about it and maybe controversially, it does mean more to us. The way that we run our football club, the way that we go all of the way back to Shankly going forward and I learned this from the owners.
