Former Cleveland Browns head coach Pat Shurmur is taking over play-calling duties for the Colorado Buffaloes this Saturday against No. 16 Oregon State, according to reports.
Former Cleveland Browns head coach Pat Shurmur is the new play-caller for the Colorado Buffaloes under head coach Deion Sanders, according to reports. Shurmur coached the Browns during the 2011 and 2012 seasons, finishing with a 9-23 overall record. The Buffaloes host No. 16 Oregon State this Saturday at 10 p.m. EST at Folsom Field in Boulder.
Shurmur joined Colorado head coach Deion Sanders’ staff this summer as a quality control analyst, an off-field position. However, Sanders must elevate Shurmur from analyst to full-time coach in order to call plays on the field. Another Colorado coach, in turn, must be demoted to make room for Shurmur on the coaching staff.
Quarterback Shedeur Sanders, Deion’s son, was sacked seven times and the Buffaloes managed only 242 yards of offense in the loss.
