The 24-day festive haul contains products worth over £170, saving shoppers at least £130 on brands like No7, Soap and Glory, Liz Earle and more
It was no surprise when earlier this week, all four of the No7 beauty advent calendars sold out online. The Boots-own brand was one of the first to really run with the idea of a Christmas countdown, and each year continues to delight shoppers and sell out well in advance of Christmas.
Worth over £170, the calendar was priced at £90, but is now just £44 having been reduced as part of the health and beauty retailer’s ‘biggest ever Black Friday’. Last year, the calendar cost £88 and was reduced to £43, but the value was just over £141, while twelve months on it’s worth around £30 more for an extra £1.
Now, I’ve done the girl math, and the Boots budget advent calendar will pay for itself in four products, rendering the other 20 essentially free. The most valuable products in the calendar typically come from the pharmacy giant’s own No7 brand, with the No7 Lift & Luminate Triple Action Primer being worth a whopping £17.95 alone. Joined by the No7 Protect & Perfect Intense ADVANCED Day Cream and matching Night Cream 25ml, worth a combined £24.95, we’re only £1.
The Boots Macmillan 24 Days of Joy advent calendar does exactly what it says on the tin, injecting a little bit of festive cheer and excitement into the Christmas countdown. Some of the brands inside are highly impressive to even a beauty snob, such as No7 and Liz Earle, but don’t underestimate some of the more affordable beauty buys, because they can often be just as good as high-end products.
