They are the players whose salary and/or transfer fees necessitate a special exception to the MLS salary cap. Despite the singular status it holds, there hasn’t been a clear one-stop shop for information about team’s DPs. Even on the league website , reported transfer fees and MLS Players Association-published salary figures aren’t given a mention.
