Fresh talks were taking place on Thursday with all parties said to be aware that Everton’s future is potentially at stake.: “Both parties know a deal needs to be done one way or another and these things tend to go the wire. It could even be over the weekend that we know for certain what happens next.
In that scenario they would then need to repay 777’s £160m debt in short order, find the money to cover Everton’s costs until the end of the season and also pay off the rest of the stadium project.
