It is suggested the Premier League could move at least one match to be played on Christmas Eve due to scheduling conflicts
Liverpool have been handed a festive boost as it is claimed their home match against Arsenal will definitely not be one moved to Christmas Eve, as the Premier League considers a controversial fixture change, although Everton remain in the dark.
Usually a whole weekend is fine to host matches, but in this case with Sunday being Christmas Eve it would be a radical move - only done once in the Premier League era when Leeds United beat Manchester United in 1995 - to play on this day. Whilst the league is reportedly refusing to comment on the matter, the word of an insider was "nothing is final until final," and the reason for making the bold change would be to work around the scheduling of other competitions and the capabilities of local authorities, not just down to the decision of a broadcaster.
