Erik ten Hag was speaking following Manchester United's Premier League draw with Brentford
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has made a 'lucky' claim when referencing Liverpool and Manchester City's wins over Brentford earlier in the season.
For City, Pep Guardiola's team won 3-1 away at Brentford back in February thanks to a Phil Foden hat-trick. However, the Bees had taken an early lead in the game, and Ten Hag, who saw his side held to a 1-1 draw in the capital on Saturday night, has referenced the difficulty of teams facing Thomas Frank's side at the Gtech.
"And against Liverpool, in the first 35 minutes, Brentford should have taken the lead, so don't express this. We should have done this better, I'm not happy with the performance, there is no misunderstanding, the players are also disappointed by the performance and we should be consistent in the game, go in the game, perform and show more aggressiveness."
