Based on a 1980s TV show of the same name, Denzel Washington first played retired government assassin Robert McCall in 2014's The Equalizer.
Now, following The Equalizer 3's digital release, IGN has shared the bloody first 10 minutes of the movie online. The video, which is only available to watch on IGN's website, sees Washington as McCall having essentially slayed an entire Italian villa's worth of henchmen with his usual dash of precision and ruthlessness.
Despite franchise-best scores from audiences and critics, The Equalizer 3's opening weekend box office came in at $34.6 million. This is better than the first movie's $34.1 million in 2014, but behind the second movie's $36 million in 2018. The Equalizer 3's budget of an estimated $70 million is also between the two previous installments, with the first film having cost $55 million and the second having cost $77 million.
The new sequel has currently earned $158.9 million worldwide, which puts it behind both of its predecessors. The Equalizer ended its run with $192.9 million, currently standing as the highest earner of the franchise, with The Equalizer 2 finishing its run with $190 million.
