Armagh native Eoin Toal made his Northern Ireland debut on Tuesday night against Slovenia
Eoin Toal praised "class act" Jonny Evans for helping him through his Northern Ireland debut on Tuesday night.
Toal said he learnt a lot from his centre back partner, but admitted he was relieved to see VAR's intervention to rule out Benjamin Sesko's first half goal."It’s different class to be honest ," he said. "He talks throughout the game and is unbelievable. He’s a class act and he had another good performance. I learnt a lot playing alongside him and from the game.
"It was a tough challenge. Their two strikers have been in really good form in this tournament but Jonny talked me through it and I thought we were well in the game and even after the sending off we still had a few chances. Hopefully we can take the positives from the match for next month’s games." "Since coming over to Bolton my aim was to get in the team and play well there and hopefully get the international call," explained Toal.
