Former U.S. special envoy to Ukraine Kurt Volker said he would resign as the executive director of the McCain Institute think tank
WASHINGTON—Kurt Volker, who stepped down last month as U.S. special envoy to Ukraine as Democrats probed his role in President Trump’s interactions with Kyiv, said on Monday that he would resign as the executive director of the McCain Institute, a Washington think tank affiliated with Arizona State University.
“The recent media focus on my work as U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations risks becoming a distraction from the accomplishments and continued growth of the Institute,” Mr. Volker said in a statement....
