A large number of England fans spent hours getting home from their Euro 2024 win over Serbia due to ‘nightmare’ transport issues.
"A lot of people were forced to walk the distance. However, we did not see any trouble around the ground."It then took us two hours to get on public transport after the game finished." One fan, who posted snaps of just how large the queues were to get home due to the delays, said: “It’s 12.40am - nearly two hours after the final whistle in Gelsenkirchen - and tens of thousands of fans are still in a massive queue to get a tram from the stadium to the city.
