With one of her brood looking to move to Australia, mum of 22 Sue Radford reveals her parenting rule for coping when the kids fly the nest and why it's an 'emotional' time
AS a mum of 22 Sue Radford’s busy household can sometimes look like it’s run as a military operation - and that means strict rules.
Sue, who has 'hectic' Mother's Day plans, admits that when a couple of her grown-up children started to leave home to follow their own ambitions it was an emotional time for her as a parent. “They all still live quite close by, though, which is great. However, Daniel will be a 24 hour ‘plane journey away - it’s a full day just to get to see him!
One dream, however, has already come true with the publication of their book The Radfords: Making Life Count and which charts the ups and downs of family life with 22 children.
