Former Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher has opened up about swapping showbiz for life on the farm and how one 'accidental' decision during lockdown led to the change in direction
Former Emmerdale actor and Strictly Come Dancing star Kelvin Fletcher has shone a light on the reason behind his career change after departing from the ITV soap seven years ago.
Having initially hoped to move to Los Angeles with their young family, it was when lockdown hit due to the Covid-19 pandemic that the pair came across a for sale sign at a farm - causing them to kick off their “accidental” journey. He added: “We didn’t do it because we wanted to be farmers. We wanted something different. We looked at all sorts of places but the thought of this quiet, idyllic life got us. Then, lo and behold, it’s not as quiet as you thought. There are sheep, so you think, 'I’ll get some more sheep.' Then it snowballs.”
