But Tom lost his mind, screaming at her and becoming hysterical and accussing her of not loving him. When Belle pushed back, explaining that she had not rejected the proposal outright, Tom got increasingly irate. In a fit of rage, Tom tried to leave the house. And when Belle attempted to stop him, he pushed her away, causing her a facial injury.
