Eric was diagnosed with Parkinson's moments after telling his wife he or she must move out
Emmerdale fans were all crying "heartbreak" and "cruel" after a tense episode that saw Eric push the idea of a break-up with his partner.
Brenda said one of them had to move out. Eric pushed back by not only agreeing but suggesting Brenda should leave. The exchange left Brenda in near tears as she climbed down and left for work, telling Eric that they would finish the talk after he had "thought about what he said". After Eric went to the hospital a little later, he was then diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
When he saw Brenda, he didn't tell her about the diagnosis and instead doubled down that they must separate "as painlessly as possible". The entire ordeal left fans feeling heartbroken. @11syoung wrote: "There's being cruel to be kind Eric but your being plain cruel #ParkinsonsDisease" @joy9kat said: "Eric always was a nasty piece of work.
