Black Adam's Jaume Collet-Serra signs on to direct Amazon Studios' Kate Warne, which is expected to star Emily Blunt.
, Collet-Serra has officially signed on to direct Kate Warne for Amazon Studios. Blunt is producing and is expected to star in the movie; although, the deal has not yet been finalized due to the ongoing Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (first reported news about Blunt’s involvement with Kate Warne in August 2021, though Collet-Serra had yet not signed on to direct the movie at that time.
The first draft of the script was written by Gustin Nash, while Melissa Stack is also credited as a writer.is also producing the project with Seven Bucks Productions alongside Hiram Garcia and Dany Garcia. Kristina Sorensen also serves as a producer for With a K Productions., which was released in October 2022. Collet-Serra is also known for making 2005’s House of Wax remake, 2009’s Orphan, and 2016’s The Shallows.
Blunt, meanwhile, starred alongside Cillian Murphy in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer earlier this year. Her next movie, Pain Hustlers, is directed by Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’s David Yates and also stars Chris Evans, Catherine O’Hara, and Andy García.
