Emily's Asking For It? documentary hit hard with viewers
Emily Atack fans praised the actress and TV presenter over her incredibly powerful documentary Asking For It?, which delved deep into the sexual harassment women and girls are receiving online.
As she spoke to the police to report the harassment, Emily broke down in tears as she attempted to read out the messages on camera. The male police officer interviewing her alongside a female officer offered to leave the room, but the actress said it was fine to carry on, and the latter shared her support and reassurance.
"Now that I've blocked him it's just really proved to me, because people say over and over again, 'just come off social media and just block them', but it just proves that blocking them doesn't stop me feeling like this." "An emotional documentary…nobody deserves such vile abuse. Unacceptable behaviour that should not be tolerated by anyone…it has to stop #NeverAskingForIt #ItsNotYourFault #OnlineAbuse #EmilyAtack," another viewer said.
