Elon Musk's business confidants are sleeping in new bedrooms at Twitter HQ that have been converted from unused offices. Musk is having one made for him.

, who are currently working at Twitter and helping Musk with the transition, the other person added.

Following massive layoffs, many Twitter offices are not being used, while many employees coming to San Francisco have been staying at hotels, this person said. The conversions are another cost saving measure put in place by Musk, the person surmised. There has been no official communication to staff about the rooms, but people have been free to walk around HQ and check them out, the person added.
