After being denied by a lower court just last month, the Greenbergs have taken their case to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court for an appeal.
Their daughter, 27-year-old Ellen Greenberg, was stabbed 20 times in her Manyunk apartment back in 2011. Last month, Ellen's parents were in court for the right to change her manner of death from a suicide to something else, be it homicide or undetermined.Court rules against Ellen Greenberg's parents as they fight to change her manner of deathEven so, judges acknowledged “the deeply flawed investigation” of Ellen Greenberg by Philadelphia Police, the District Attorney’s Office and the Medical Examiner’s Office.
