Rangers women are top of the table by a point but their rivals showed they're still well in the fight with a win at Petershill.
Celtic's win over Glasgow City has the team “100 per cent” believing that they can go on and win a first SWPL title, according to manager Elena Sadiku.
The Hoops prevailed to stay within one point of Rangers who still lead at the top after coming from a goal behind to beat Hibs earlier in the day. “100% I believe this team can win the league, especially if we perform like this,” said Sadiku. “It is not just one particular player. We had good goals against City from Caitlin and Natasha but what makes it so special is that we have big performances from lots of players.
“But we need to keep this going now and things will get better and better for us. These wins definitely gives us belief and confidence but there is nothing won just yet. We need to keep pushing for more. City manager Leanne Ross was frustrated that there was not more quality from her side. There is a break now for international football as Scotland kick off their European Championships qualification campaign but Ross has warned City that they will need to up their game when they face Rangers straight after the international break.
