Cuando Jason Allen recibió un premio en Colorado (EE.UU.) por la imagen que creó a través de la plataforma de inteligencia artificial (IA) Midjourney, no se imaginaba la cantidad de críticas que iba a recibir.
“Me dijeron que era un ladrón, que tenía que devolver la medalla”, relata el estadounidense en entrevista con EFE.
El usuario no necesita tener mucho conocimiento sobre tecnología o incluso sobre arte. Basta con escribir un texto con la idea que se tiene y la plataforma hace lo suyo. El propio Allen intentó registrar su obra en la Oficina de Derechos de Autor de EE.UU., pero su petición fue rechazada esta pasada semana. El argumento: no es de “autoría humana”.
Obtener derechos de autor a través de una imagen generada por una plataforma que se alimenta de miles de piezas recabadas en internet es también para muchos artistas algo problemático. “Es simplemente un medio, una tecnología, igual que la cámara o el lápiz fueron inventos avanzados en su momento”, explica.
