Delia Smith and husband Michael Wynn Jones are to step down as directors of Norwich City next year and reduce their stake in the club.American investors Norfolk FB Holdings are to increase their stake in the club to around 85 per cent, with Smith and Wynn Jones holding 10 per cent and the remainder being held by the club’s other shareholders.Norfolk FB Holdings are led by Milwaukee Brewers owner Mark Attanasio, who first joined the Norwich board in September 2022.
'Delia and Michael have always been clear that they would act in the best interests of the club when passing on stewardship of it,' a club statement said. 'In selecting Norfolk Holdings following their introduction to the club in 2022, and further strengthening of the relationship and alignment of interests since, Delia and Michael feel that the group are best placed to be the next custodians of the club.
