The inside track on the football stories that matter
A former news reporter who cut his teeth at the Shrewsbury Chronicle and Shropshire Star in the late 1990s before heading to London where he clocked up nearly a decade-and-a-half at Press Association, London Evening Standard and Goal, Wayne is the founder and editor of Football Insider. Loves a last-gasp comeback and believes the 2005 Champions League final was the greatest-ever football match. Can’t abide short corners. Or, Panenkas.
Daniel joined the Football Insider team in early 2023. A sports journalism graduate from the University of the West of Scotland, he has previously worked at the Scottish Sun and GRV Media as a social media editor. He is also an experienced football commentator. A lifelong Celtic fan, Daniel won’t stop going on about that night in November 2012 when Tony Watt scored against Barcelona. We get it, it was over 10 years ago.
