This is the second time the singer has been sued over his song 'Thinking Out Loud.' The first lawsuit came from the family of the late Ed Townsend, a co-writer of the song 'Let's Get It On,' who argued the songs were too similar.
Following his win, he said,"While we’re obviously happy with the result, I feel like claims like this are way too common now and have become a culture where a claim is made with the idea that a settlement will be cheaper than taking it to court.”"Even if there’s no base for the claim.

Coincidence is bound to happen if 60,000 songs are being released every day on Spotify."The trial date has not been set but we’ll see how this latest suit plays out in front of a jury.
