EastEnders' Jay Brown was encouraged to run this year's London Marathon by Lola's video message from beyond the grave – but in real life he has a different motivation
EastEnders' Jamie Borthwick will leave Walford to pound the streets of the capital, as he takes on the iconic London Marathon.
In the storyline, Jay and Honey are running in honour of Jay's partner Lola, who had a brain tumour and tragically passed away, leaving him as a single parent to her daughter, Lexi. "Sadly, my dad has not been well this year with cancer," Jamie told OK! last year. He also recently revealed that his uncle and cousin have been diagnosed in the last two years, but thankfully all three cases were caught early.
