The Dutch hitman is desperate to end a barren run at Hampden on Saturday against Aberdeen.
Wacky Dylan Vente insists he’ll squeeze more goals out his game soon - after likening his dry run to a bottle of ketchup.
The 24-year-old reckons holding the semis at the national stadium makes the competition more glamorous - even if he thought he was at Rangers stadium on his only previous visit to Hampden. “It wasn’t possible for me to go and have a little look. I only really saw it from outside. So I’m really looking forward to finally getting on the pitch and playing there tomorrow.
“The Dutch Cup Final came when I was 18. I had only played three games for the team, but I played in the semi-final. Vente might only have been in Leith for three months but he doesn’t have to look far for proof that cup wins produce legends. Team mates Lewis Stevenson - who won this trophy in 2007 and the Scottish Cup in 2016 - and skipper Paul Hanlon are testament to that. Not to mention first team coach and 2016 Scottish Cup hero David Gray.
