The Department for Work and Pensions has confirmed the exact start and end dates for the forthcoming Cold Weather Payments.
It goes to those living in an area where the average temperature is recorded as, or forecast to be, 0C or below over seven consecutive days. The scheme is set to launch again on Wednesday, November 1, and will last until March 31, 2024.Last winter the cold weather payments were issued across parts of Cumbria, north-east England, west Wales and Oxfordshire.
