A DUI crash on I-10 in Tolleson resulted in a woman needing amputations on her legs. Authorities say the person who caused the crash is facing charges and a hefty, cash-only bond.
"Preliminary info indicates one vehicle traveled over the guardrail and rolled. Both vehicles are off on the right shoulder," the Arizona Department of Public Safety said on Oct. 10.
A woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and had to have her foot and a part of her other leg amputated.DPS troopers say he admitted to smoking marijuana before the crash and that they found meth in his car. He's accused of assault, DUI and a probation violation. Court documents show Coates has a history of DUI arrests and convictions, was driving on a suspended license.
