Some of us may be guilty of doing it - but the mistake actually goes against the Highway Code.
Car experts have warned that making a common mistake whilst at a roundabout isn't just considered rude - it's actually against the Highway Code, and doing it could result in a fine.
The survey was carried out by the car insurance team at Compare the Market amongst UK drivers to determine how many know the correct Highway Code rules relating to roundabouts, from signalling to giving way. Furthermore, over half of UK licence holders are at risk of the same fine due to driving over mini-roundabouts. Nearly half admit to driving over a raised roundabout and almost two-thirds to driving over a flat one.
