Road Policing officers in Glasgow discovered a man trying to hide in his loft after allegedly being caught committing a number of driving offences including driving without insurance.
A disqualified driver allegedly high on cocaine and cannabis was caught trying to hide from police in a loft in Dalmarnock.
Road Policing officers pursued a vehicle being driven in the east end on Saturday night with the driver reportedly making off in a bid to evade the cops. The 29-year-old man was then said to be found climbing into a loft at his home address. Once police caught up with them, he was charged with driving while disqualified, dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, driving without insurance, drug driving, and drug possession.Read more: Car salesman left colleague with traumatic brain injury after reversing into him at work
A picture shared by the division shows a test alleging that the man tested positive for cannabis and cocaine. A tweet on the Road Policing Scotland account added "Officers pursued this car in Dalmarnock earlier. The driver initially made good his escape but was later traced climbing into a loft at his home address."Since the driver likes small confined spaces with no windows, we have given him one for the weekend. He was taken into custody to appear at court on Monday, October 16.
