A 23-year-old Oceanside man has been arrested for DUI following a deadly crash near Bonsall that claimed the lives of a 29-year-old and a 4-year-old child.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Erick Arambula was arrested and is facing multiple charges, including felony driving under the influence and gross vehicular manslaughter.

The 3:13 p.m. Sunday crash involved a black pickup truck, white Tesla and a black sedan, according to the California Highway Patrol. This caused all lanes of I-15 south to be blocked for several hours, according to a CHP Sig Alert.The pickup overturned and landed on its roof and the black sedan was smoking, per the CHP. The cause of the crash was under investigation. One southbound lane opened just north of SR-76 around 5:30 p.m., a little over two hours after the crash, according to CalTrans.
