Chris Kamara said all his boyhood dreams came true playing for Leeds during an emotional speech on his return to Elland Road.
The former Leeds player and legendary broadcaster, affectionately known as ‘Kammy’, gave a speech ahead of the Whites’ Premier League clash against Brentford where he looked back on his brief spell at the Yorkshire club.After receiving a warm welcome from the Elland Road crowd, Kamara said: “Unbelievable! I have to say dreams do come true. When I played in this stadium for Leeds United it made my boyhood dreams come true.
“Who would’ve thought 33 years later you would give me a reception like this? Thank you all so much.” Kamara also addressed the fans of away side Brentford, a club he represented from 1981-85, remarking on the ‘great’ spell he had at the club.Kamara is hugely popular among players, fans and pundits andfor his services to football, anti-racism and charity in the New Year Honours List.
