Former Nickelodeon star Drake Bell prepares himself to speak openly and honestly for the first time at the abuse he suffered at the hands of Brian Peck in this teaser for 'Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV.'
Drake Bell has defended parents of ex-Nickelodeon child stars who were accused of failing to protect their kids amid allegations of abuse and mistreatment at the network.
His mother Robin has been slammed online for allowing him to spend a lot of time with his abuser Peck because she did not want to drive him to and from the studio from their Orange County home. Bell said per TMZ: 'Some of these were our first jobs. Some of these were our parents' first time on a set, and they're just learning along with us.
'I think Brian got a sense that my dad was on the watch and so he started to really drive a wedge between my dad and me.' His mother Robin has been slammed online for allowing him to spend a lot of time with his abuser Peck because she did not want to drive him to and from the studio from their Orange County home
'Watching over the past two nights was very difficult. Me facing my past behaviors - some of which are embarrassing and that I regret. I definitely owe some people a pretty strong apology.' Drake - who was charged with DUIs in 2010 and 2016 - said he only took the plea deal to end the scandal quickly, and claimed he didn't know her age and denied ever sending her sexual photos or engaging in sexual activity.
The Every Day Is Christmas With You singer was sentenced to two years of probation and 200 hours of community service after a 19-year-old woman accused him of grooming her from ages 12-15 and sexually assaulting her at his 2017 Cleveland concert
