This is the sad reality of systemic racism in Canada. The Conservatives went ballistic and blamed the Trudeau government for the handling of the Bernardo case, and they kept it up for weeks. When Crawford died, there was no political comment. It’s as if we didn’t exist. This is a tragic story with no positive ending. Four Indigenous women have been killed, the alleged killer is awaiting trial and the families need closure.
