The former US president is bringing a data protection claim against Orbis Business Intelligence which was founded by Mr Steele.
Lawyers for Donald Trump will appear in the High Court in London today to begin a lawsuit against former MI6 spy Christopher Steele over an infamous dossier that made lurid claims against him before the 2017 election.
The report, leaked to BuzzFeed in 2017, claimed that Mr Putin 'supported and directed' an operation to 'cultivate' Mr Trump as a presidential candidate for 'at least five years'. Donald Trump, seen at a campaign rally in New Hampshire earlier this month, is bringing a data protection claim against Orbis Business IntelligenceLawyers for Mr Trump previously told the High Court he was 'compelled to explain to his family, friends and colleagues that the embarrassing allegations about his private life were untrue', adding: 'This was extremely distressing for .'
The trio said they brought the legal action to 'clear their names and correct the public record' about the claims made about them and to prove they were not 'creatures of the Kremlin'.
