's 2005 film of the same name, there are actually quite a few key differences in the new story.
While the movie centered on two married assassins who are hired to kill each other after they discover they're spies for rival agencies, in the upcoming Prime Video series, John and Jane are two strangers who give up their identities to be thrown together as partners in espionage and marriage. According to the show's official logline, they've been matched by a mysterious agency, and each episode follows them on a new mission and new milestone in their relationship.
