Dr Fredrick Ruzvidzo is currently suspended from practice.
Details of Fredrick Ruzvidzo's convictions had gone largely under the public radar until he was hauled before a hearing of the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service last week.
The panel heard the medic was convicted at Airdrie Sheriff Court in March 2021 of two sexual assaults and sentenced to a community payback order and given 180 hours of unpaid work.He has since been suspended from treating patients and the hearing found his fitness to practice is impaired. NHS Lanarkshire say the medic is no longer employed by them, but refused to give details about when Ruzvidzo worked there, in what capacity or if they have, or plan to, conduct an investigation in the wake of his conviction.
