Seven women have come forward to accuse Tim Westwood of sexual misconduct from the years of 1992 and 2017.
In incidents that are alleged to have occurred between the years of 1992 and 2017, the 64 year old former BBC Radio 1 DJ has been accused of unwanted sexual behaviour and touching with two women claiming he "abused his power in the music industry".Westwood has continued to deny the sexual misconduct allegations made against him.
The BBC reports that two of the women were hoping to make it in the music industry and agreed to go to London to meet with Tom to discuss their future in the industry.Veteran DJ Tim was 53 years old, while one of the two women was only nineteen. Another of the seven women told the publication that she was only seventeen when she met Tim, who was in his mid-thirties at the time."Within the recording industry and the black community, despite him being a white man, he had absolute power. He could make or break your career," she told the BBC.
The women's names have been changed to protect their identities, and the BBC have confirmed that they do not know each other.
