Disney has entertained audiences for 100 years with its animated films and characters Today marks the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company, after brothers Walt Disney and Roy O. Disney founded the oldest running animation studio in the world by signing a contract to produce a series of shorts on October 16, 1923.
