Ben Jamal, the director of Palestine Solidarity Campaign, warns about the increasing number of child casualties in Gaza and calls for an immediate ceasefire. He criticizes Israel's new model of proportionality that justifies killing civilians in the pursuit of targeting Hamas commanders.
In the last few moments, Sky News has been speaking to the director of Palestine Solidarity Campaign Ben Jamal about the situation in Gaza . More than 3,500 children have been killed in Gaza and some 6,300 have been injured, he said. But he warned there is a risk people will start to 'become numb to the statistics'. 'A child is being killed every 10 minutes - that's maybe how we can try to make sense of this,' Mr Jamal said.
Officials at Gaza's Indonesia hospital have said more than 50 people were killed and at least 150 were injured in the strike, but some have estimated the casualties could be higher. Mr Jamal said the videos of the attack are 'horrific' and there needs to be a ceasefire called immediately.
