A patron commented on the Facebook post: ‘So sorry they have done this. We were eating just around the corner from them. ‘Wondered why the waitress was looking at us, was probably afraid we would leave too.’ One woman suggested: ‘Put up a sign saying due to these circumstances, payment will be taken when ordering. ‘Honest people will totally understand, and not mind one bit.’ Metro has reached out to Stubbs for comment on the runners.
