DIGGING DEEP: Short-staffed Saskatoon Blades bounce back for second straight win
Still down a number of regulars — five forwards and a goalie did not play Sunday against the visiting Brandon Wheat Kings — the Blades have been drawing far into their roster and lineup to muster points.Stay on the ball with the 306 Sports Fix newsletter. The Blades hope to get some players back in the lineup soon for their British Columbia road trip over the next two weeks. On Sunday, Jordan Keller dazzled the crowd with a pair of goals in the Blades’ comeback against the Wheaties, who got goals from Brett Hyland and Nolan Ritchie to stake out a 2-0 lead.
“I thought Keller was really good — I mean, he got the goals but I also thought he played really well and steady defensively against some tough matchups,” noted Sonne.
