A ferry service on the River Dart in Devon will have two floats between December and February, in response to community demand. The service will still drop back to one float for the rest of winter.
The ferry service between Dartmoth and Kingswear is to run two floats over the festive season as a part of a trial instead of one for all of winter
The Dartmouth Lower Ferry, which crosses the River Dart between Dartmouth and Kingswear, normally drops back to one float for all of winter. There would only be one ferry running again between 5 February and 17 March to allow for the other float to be refitted, bosses said.
