Michael Dowling was taken to hospital but was sadly pronounced dead
Tributes have been paid to a 'well liked, quick-witted and much loved' man killed when his car hit a parked Range Rover yesterday .
Emergency services were scrambled to the scene, near Poulton-le-Fylde at around 12.15pm. Michael Downing, from Fleetwood, was driving a Vauxhall Corsa on Blackpool Road when stationary vehicle. The 33-year-old was taken to hospital but was sadly pronounced dead. The road was closed for several hours to allow initial investigations to be carried out.Following his death, Michael's family have paid an emotional tribute to him, as officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
The family said: “Michael was well liked, quick-witted, decent, and loved very much.
