The boy was attacked after answering a knock at his door
Detectives are continuing to question two suspects after a 14-year-old boy was stabbed as he answered the door in a horrific attack.
Officers were spotted going door-to-door and asking for CCTV or doorbell camera footage as their enquiry 'progressed at a pace'. Detectives said they believed the attack was 'targeted' with 'no risk to the wider public.' "They said someone had been stabbed that was it. We haven't watched it so we're not sure if it shows anything.
Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Davies from GMP’s City of Manchester district said: "This is a really sickening attack on a young boy which has left him in a critical condition in hospital. I would like to reassure the community that our investigation is progressing at a pace and this morning two people, a 15-year-old boy and a 41-year-old female, have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
