Nicola Coughlan was appearing on The Late Late Show to promote her new Channel 4 comedy
Derry Girl's star Nicola Coughlan has opened up on how she felt it was hard to say goodbye to the hit series which kickstarted her career.
Appearing on The Late Late Show alongside Spice Girl Mel B, Nicola told host Patrick Kielty that she was thankful to Derry Girls for giving her her big break."It was such a big part of my life and such a big break on TV," she said. "It's kind of the role you dream of getting and don't think you ever will and the way people connect to that show and love it all over the world is crazy.
"But I also have a thing where I hope in my career that I can move on to something that was different to the last and so sometimes you have to say goodbye even though it is hard to move onto the next thing."
