Deontay Wilder has bypassed his management team to directly call out Anthony Joshua
Deontay Wilder has told Anthony Joshua it will be a “disaster” if the two heavyweights fail to meet in a boxing ring.
In 2019, a proposed undisputed fight between Joshua and Wilder was set to take place when the two held all of the heavyweight belts. While neither fighter is a current world champion, a scheduled bout would still attract millions of pay-per-view interest. Speaking on Instagram, Wilder bypassed his management and promotional team to send a direct message to Joshua. The 38-year-old has urged his British counterpart to put their names in the heavyweight history books.
